Author Q&A

Q: Do you have any tips for writing a book report on a Drifters Realm book?

A: Consider comparing and contrasting the main characters and their Obligations. And definitely share the Drifters Realm and HalLows Realm maps!

Q: Are there any secrets you can share about Book 4?

A: Book 4 is underway and will be released in 2026.  More magic, surprises, and adventures are ahead as Theo, Ori, Roe and Tora find themselves in HalLows Realm with spiders, ghosts, strange paintings, and an unexpected adversary.

Q: Who are your favorite authors?

A: I love stories with magical elements in faraway places and different times: J.K. Rowling, Diana Gabaldon, Victoria Aveyard, Luanne G. Smith are some of my favorite authors, but the list is always changing.

Q: Where did you get the idea for the Drifters Realm series?

A: The idea came to me years ago watching my kids lug around their backpacks, making their way to school, or to a friend’s house. The idea of teenagers living together and having exciting adventures in faraway places has always fascinated me.

Q: What made you decide to become a writer?

A: I want to tell stories that take you by surprise so you keep turning the pages; stories with characters you can relate to, heroes and villains alike.
